The Bone Job

My name is Paul. I am an RN that unfortunately got suckered into taking an assignment with Absolute Nursing. I have been a travel nurse for over 5 years. This is the worst screw job I have ever received. I mean, Cross Country will screw ya, but at least they will pay you!

I traveled almost 1300 miles, I have $1,879.60 out of pocket expenses. I have time sheets signed by the unit manager and I still have never been paid by this firm. In an email, Mr. Raab initially stated that I was fired (actually the hospital breeched my contract) and that they could not pay me the $3,000 dollars that they owe me until the hospital paid them. The letter I received from the hospital dated 08/03/05 states that Absolute Nursing has been paid. Mr. Raab also stated in his letter that I cannot be paid because I failed to return the name badge issued by the hospital. This was mailed to the hospital on July 10, 2005.

By the way, the Hospital is Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury CT. I would not advise going there. They do not treat you very nice and the manager is a liar. She told me every 3rd weekend etcetera, and nothing was farther from the truth. The care I witnessed there is very poor and charge nurses want you to witness drugs that you never saw drawn up. Floor orientation is a JOKE!!!!

I have never gotten on the internet to do something like this but I do think that all travelers need to be aware of companies like this that won't pay you. By the way, it has been two months trying to get my money.

Good luck with your travels!!!!!

Paul, RN
